Rogue River Blue Cheese Gets Titled as The World’s Best Quality Cheese

The world’s most fabulous cheese has been revealed as an organic blue cheese that comes from Oregon, US. Rogue River Blue has topped the winner within the annual World Cheese Awards, marking the first time an American product has gained the celebrated title.

The profitable cheese is produced from natural cow’s milk and is provided by Rogue Creamery in southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley. The cheese has a reasonably rigorous maturation course of: it’s cave-aged for nine to 11 months earlier than being wrapped in natural Syrah grape leaves, which were soaked in pear liqueur.

Competitors choose Bruno Cabral to describe Rogue River Blue as a “style get together,” praising its “completely different sensations, stability, sweet and spicy notes.” The World Cheese Awards has been operating for 32 years, with this year’s contest seeing greater than three,804 entries from 42 totally different nations.

The ultimate 16 varieties cheese highlighted entries from Italy, Switzerland, Italy, France, and the UK. Second place was granted to a 24-month aged parmesan from Italy whereas third place went to an uncooked ewe’s milk cheese from Spain. The director of the Guild of Fine Food, organizers of the World Cheese Awards, John Farrand, mentioned this year’s winner was “virtually too near the name.”

“Rogue Creamery has been at the vanguard of the US artisan cheese revolution for some years, so it appears very becoming for them to be the primary American winners of our World Champion Cheese trophy,” he added.

David Gremmels, the proprietor of Rogue Creamery, mentioned he was “humbled” by the accolade.  “I share this honor with my devoted staff at Rogue Creamery,” he added.
